The Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion at The Maxwell School at Syracuse University was established in 2011 with a gift from Sid and Helaine Lerner. In that time, the Center has since earned a reputation as a convener and facilitator for pressing public health issues both on campus and in the community, and is well known for its growing Healthy Monday campaign. Since its establishment, the Center has also trained 18 Master of Public Health and Master of Public Administration students through its Fellowship program, preparing the next generation of leaders in community health and policy.

In the following pieces, Center faculty, staff, and students reflect on the work the Lerner Center has done over the five years, and what lies ahead.

  2. Evolution of Health Promotion
  3. Building a Community Wide Health Promotion Campaign
  4. Community Engagement and Empowerment
