Please join the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine for the first webinar in a three webinar series for the recent report, High and Rising Mortality Rates Among Working-Age Adults.
In March 2021, the Committee on Population (CPOP) at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine released the report High and Rising Mortality Rates Among Working-Age Adults. In this webinar, CPOP explores the role of drugs and alcohol in contributing to rising mortality rates among working-age adults (i.e., middle-aged and younger adults ages 25-64 years). Join us as we develop a deeper understanding of these complex phenomena and discuss implications for policy and research.
Speakers include:
- Kathleen Mullan Harris, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
- Michael E. Chernew, Harvard Medical School
- Darrell J. Gaskin, Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health
