Good Morning America shares how to manage your “Sunday Scaries” with the Healthy Monday Reset!

Healthy Monday is a national public health initiative to help end chronic preventable diseases by offering weekly prompts and programs to support people and organizations in starting and sustaining healthy behaviors. It is an signature program of the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.

Healthy Monday is an initiative of the Monday Campaigns and was founded in 2005 in association with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Columbia Mailman School of Public Health and Syracuse University Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.

Why Monday?

Research conducted by Johns Hopkins suggests that people view Monday, more than any other day of the week, as a day to make healthier choices. Respondents chose Monday as the day they would begin eating healthier, start an exercise routine, quit smoking or make an appointment with their healthcare provider. Monday has special significance in Western culture as the beginning of the week and an opportunity for a fresh start. The best part about having a Healthy Monday is that you have 52 chances a year to kick off a healthy week!
