Quit and Stay Quit Monday (QSQM) is a tobacco cessation tool designed by The Monday Campaigns in collaboration with the Institute for Global Tobacco Control and the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion at Johns Hopkins University. QSQM encourages people to quit, re-quit or recommit to quitting smoking every Monday.
There are countless health benefits to quitting smoking, and the sooner you try the better. Once you stop smoking, it gives your body a chance to reverse some of the damage that has already been done. Just like New Year’s resolutions that we so easily loose track of and forget about, the same thing can happen when trying to quit smoking. Instead of waiting an entire year to start again, use Monday as a weekly tool to start your quit journey, celebrate your progress, or recommit to your quit. You can use your Mondays to reward yourself for a good week, or reflect on mistakes or relapses and how they can be prevented in the future.
